About the movie
Al Hafeed follows the footsteps of the 1963 film Om el Aroussa (Mother of the Bride) about the challenges that a humble man faces when he marries off his oldest daughter.
His second daughter gets married to a man, who insists on waiting a while before having children, while his oldest daughter is expecting a baby. He faces financial challenges because of his big family and overly demanding wife. Adding insult to injury, his second daughter’s husband leaves her when he finds out that she’s pregnant, but everything gets resolved at the celebration of their baby’s birth.
